Splendid! So when a divine being surpasses Super Saiyan God, instead of turning blue, they turn pink! The aura also changed into a white, sparkling outline-though he could make the original aura reappear whenever he powered up. Instead of bright pink hair, Zamasu now had pure white hair that mimicked Super Saiyan Gokū's hairstyle. Once Gokū Black, in his Super Saiyan Rosé form, merged with his futuristic counterpart, the resulting merged Zamasu retained the transformation with a few noticeable differences. Additionally, similar to the Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue forms, sparkles glow within the aura, bright purple in coloration. The Super Saiyan Rosé form possesses a unique aura, resembling a flickering dark flame, highlighted with bright purple hues on the outside, and darker reddish-purple inside. The eyes are grey, but gain a pink glare once the users aura is active, or the user is powering up. It physically resembles the original Super Saiyan transformation, however, the hair is bright pink, highlighted in vivid white, with the eyebrows matching the hair. Similarly to Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue, the Super Saiyan Rosé transformation poses a stark change from the Super Saiyan transformation a typical Saiyan uses.

In the anime only, Black awakened Super Saiyan Rosé in much the same fashion, only it was his battle against Son Gokū after traveling back to the past in pursuit of Trunks that allowed him to master Gokū's power and ascend beyond Super Saiyan God. But when Black transformed, his hair did not turn blue and was instead pink-a sign of his divinity.

However, after battling against Vegeta, who was in his Super Saiyan Blue form, and being healed by his future counterpart, enough of Gokū's power had been awakened within Black's body to go beyond a Super Saiyan God and achieve Super Saiyan Blue. In the Dragon Ball Super anime, manga, and the video games, however, the aura does not have any distinctions.Originally, Gokū Black was unable to reach a level beyond the standard Super Saiyan transformation due to having not mastered Son Gokū's power. In the nineteenth film, this state's aura is distinctly white with yellow highlights.Despite appearing in the movies, and later in Dragon Ball Super, this state was only given a name in Dragon Ball Heroes. Finally, after adopting the Super Saiyan 2 state during his sparing match with Zamasu, Gowasu noted that Gokū's power rivaled that of Beerus himself. By the time Freeza revived, he was able to fight the tyrant (who was in his final transformed state) in only his normal state, revealing to Freeza that he didn't need Super Saiyan anymore to overcome the emperor's final form. For instance, it allowed Son Gokū to fight Beerus while only in Super Saiyan form. The power of the Saiyan Beyond God state is enormous and can be applied to a Saiyan's lower forms to increase their power. Gowasu and Beerus watch Gokū fight Zamasu, DBS053

Who is he? He's not even a god, yet his power rivals the Hakaishin!" When a Saiyan beyond God transforms into a Super Saiyan, they will instead become a Super Saiyan Blue. However, it should be noted that the Saiyan Beyond God state presents an anomaly: despite the use of divine power, whether it is being applied to a Saiyan's base state or their transformed states (such as Super Saiyan), ordinary beings remain able to sense the Saiyan's ki-a trait that is not present in either of the true god states. While sparring with Gokū on Beerus' Planet, both Saiyans kept their god power contained to their base forms, proven when, during their clashes, a flicker of godly power would appear, surprising even Whis. Later, Vegeta attained the powers of a god (enabling him to become a Super Saiyan Blue) and was able to contain this power to his base state as well. He later used this state against Freeza - who had been training to increase his power dramatically - and managed to defeat the tyrant in his final form while Gokū himself only remained in his base form. Though the Super Saiyan God form expired, Gokū had taken the form's power within himself, enabling him to apply it to his normal and Super Saiyan forms, which allowed him to continue fighting evenly with the deity. Son Gokū first uses this state in his battle with the Hakaishin Beerus. They can then apply its power to either their normal state or their Super Saiyan state. It is simply the name applied to the state in which a Saiyan has mastered the Super Saiyan God transformation, to the point where they are able to utilize its divine power without transforming into it. The Saiyan Beyond God state isn't necessarily a transformation.
